I’ve been asked by a few organizations if I can work with them beyond just doing a keynote talk or a workshop. These things are great and fun to do but what about those organizations that want more? This is why I’m introducing a new way I can work with brands and vendors, it’s called “futurist in residence” and it’s based on an advisory model where an organization will pay a flat monthly retainer in order to have unlimited access to me for calls, emails, discussions, etc. It’s typically a virtual relationship where you and your team will know that you have access to me for advice, guidance, or to just be a sounding board to explore your latest ideas or strategy. I’ve actually had this tucked away on my site for a little while but never mentioned it before until now. Of course I will also involve my network of senior executives and business leaders from around the world if the opportunity arises, for example if your team wants to speak with someone who has done XYZ.

Since I am one person (I do have a team but the advisory is done by me) I can only commit to around 2-3 of these relationships at any given time. This way I can devote the necessary time and attention to each organization I’m working with, it’s better for everyone.

The topics that fall under this relationship are quite diverse. If it relates to the future of work or employee experience then it’s in my wheelhouse. As someone who has been trained in foresight I can bring a rather unique perspective to these type of advisory engagements hence the name “futurist in residence.”

Here are some examples of who this would be good for, an organization that wants to:

  • invest in employee experience that needs guidance to help ensure success
  • understand what the future of finance and related careers is going to look like
  • make internal investments based on what the future employee will look like and how they will work
  • provide education and information on the future of work to a senior leadership team
  • understand the impacts of AI and automation on their business and industry
  • constantly stay up to speed on the latest trends, news, and concepts around the future of work and employee experience
  • get guidance around messaging and positioning their products and services to align with the future of work and/or employee experience
  • implement any of the concepts from my books!
  • and of course much more
  • I will naturally keep doing my 40-50 keynotes a year, running my community, participating in various thought leadership programs, doing research, etc. So none of that changes, I just now have another way to work a bit closer with organizations around the world to help them prepare for the future of work and create amazing employee experiences. Here’s a fun video I shot recently around the concept of a futurist and how I work with organizations.
