Do You Want a Guest Post?

During the past few weeks I’ve been thinking a lot about guest posting.  Many of you have asked me to write guest posts for you and I kept saying “hold that thought” until I get back from Turkey, well now I’m back.  So what’s the big deal, what did I keep telling people to wait?

Well, I actually wanted to announce (or I should say try) something with all of you.

I want to write as many guest posts for all of you as I can, you pick the topic and I write the post, it’s that simple.  I may get a thousand requests and if that’s what happens then I will write 1,000 guest posts.  Of course, there are some topics out there that I may not be able to speak on, if that’s the case then I will either try to research the topic or will ask you to pick another one.  For the most part if you’re reading this blog you know what I write about and what my topics are, that being said, I’m always up to new topics/challenges so don’t hold back.

So just to re-iterate, my goal is to write as many guest posts for all of you as I possibly can and I will link back to those posts from this blog.  Either leave me a topic in the comments section, email me (check the about page for my email add), send me a msg on twitter, a facebook msg, etc.

I don’t care how long it will take, I will try my best to make sure that every single person who requests a guest post will get one.  I’m ready to write with the same passion, attitude, and personality that I write with on my blog, so let’s rock.

Send me your topics/ideas/etc.

thanks for reading

  1. I have an interesting post on my blog that is beginning to get some notice. A few people have commented on it and many of those that didn't comment tweeted me with their thoughts.

It's about my discourse with a woman who is trying to promote a book published by the Stanford University Press called The Ethical Executive. I explained to her why Adwords might not be her best option. Many people think that the answer is in social media.

Her husband wrote the book, and he has Lou Gehrig's Disease so he can't do a book tour.

If you would like to do a guest post perhaps you can describe the ways that you could leverage social media to help with this nice ladies' particular situation. Or for anyone who has a relatively small monthly budget and a product with a low price point.

It's so neat that you are offering guest post b/c I just came here looking for you to get your thoughts on the subject not expecting to see this… How oddly synchronous.

It is the most recent post on my blog http://www.AtlantaClickAdvisor.com entitled When Not To Choose Adwords.

  2. If you're up for it, I think it would be interesting to get your take on potential uses of social media for the hotel industry, in other words. . . what do you think are opportunities for the travel industry in social media. . . over at The Hotel Experience. I've been asked to write more and more about personal uses of social media on my own blog, so soon, I'm going to do a revamp to focus on that. It would be cool to get your view on social media for personal promotion when I'm finished with the revamp.

  3. Thanks for the guest blog post opportunity! Great way to challenge your self!

So, my topic idea is this: What business models do you think can be sustainable and marketable in the social networking space given the current economic uncertainty?

I ask this because most of the social networking & media services we know and love appear to have few, if any, means of support outside of venture capital. Since the current credit crunch is limiting the availability of investment dollars, it seems like social networking & media services either need to make advertising work, start charging subscribers, or find another model. What do you think?

    Thanks!

BTW, my blog is at whiskeymambo.com and I love reading your stuff!

  8. I would love a guest post. I don’t have an exact topic idea yet because right now my brain is exploding with trying to get stuff under control for my impending wedding, but if you have a great topic idea after looking at my blog feel free to come up with one of your own, if not then I will try to have a topic after I get back from San Diego.
