Jacob is in Turkey for 3 Weeks!

Well, technically the title is a lie, I WILL be in Turkey for 3 weeks, my flight actually leaves in 6 hours so I thought I would write one more little blurb before I go.  I will be traveling all over turkey and seeing some amazing places and things; not to mention meeting new people.  During the course of the next 3 weeks I will still continue to post as often as I can.  I am going to share some of my experiences from Turkey via photos and videos and of course I will do my best interject and comment on social media/online marketing/tech/etc.  I will also put a little brief note that I am in Turkey at the beginning of all my posts, just so folks won’t get confused when they visit the site and find vids of me climbing a mountain 🙂

I hope you will join me during the next 3 weeks as I share my experiences and impressions from places such as:

  • Old Ottoman palaces
  • Ruins of St. Sophia
  • Greek Mausoleums
  • Gordion (where Alexander the Great cut the famous Gordion Knot)
  • Taurus Mountains
  • The most well preserves Roman Theatre in the world
  • The temple of Aphrodite
  • The Gallipoli Peninsula (from WWI)
  • any many other places

These are the following parts of Turkey I will be visiting:

  • Istanbul
  • Bursa
  • Ankara
  • Cappadocia
  • Konya
  • Antalya
  • Pamukkale
  • Kursadasi
  • Izmir
  • Canakkale

I still hope to receive plenty of comments from all of you and I will be responding to them.

thanks for reading everyone, see you on the other side of the world!

  1. I notice all this places are in the west, if you're up for some adventure why not travel east and cross the Georgian border by land?

You're welcome here in Tbilisi 🙂

  2. Enjoy Turkey. Many years ago, 20 years actually, I was an exchange student in Turkey for 4 months. It was such an amazing experience. I lived with 2 different families and did a bit of traveling, but mostly I lived in Istanbul. I came back 20 pounds heavier because the food is so good. I was only 16 at the time, but I remember everything so clearly. It is a beautiful country with lovely people and some wonderful historic sites.

  3. hey thomas, my family is actually from tbilisi and we were going to go there but the war happened and we had to cancel, next year i think i will go.
