What Is The Fourth Industrial Revolution?

It’s almost hard to believe that we are at the 4th Industrial Revolution. The 1st Industrial Revolution is characterized by steam and water. The 2nd Industrial Revolution was the introduction of electricity to mass produce things. The 3rd is characterized by the internet, communication technologies and the digitalization of everything. The 4th Industrial Revolution is now on our radar thanks to a discussion at the World Economic Forum. It is the concept of blurring the real world with the technological world. For example, virtual reality – imagine taking a vacation or playing video games by putting on a headset and becoming engulfed in a virtual world around you, nanobots that are injected into a bloodstream to cure a person from illness, robots working in factories in place of humans.
