In 2009 I went to travel all over China for a month with my friend Brian. We basically made a big circle around China and visited close to a dozen of the provinces there. We saw everything from the modern skyscrapers in Shanghai to the rice patty fields in remote villages. One of the places we ventured to was Huangshan or “Yellow Mountain” in the Anhui province. It was absolutely amazing. We climbed thousands of steps for around 4-5 hours, just in time to see the sunset. Then we went to bed and woke up at 5am the next morning (while it was pitch black outside) to hike another 2 miles to the edge of a cliff to see this spectacular sunrise. To say it was cold is an understatement, it was freezing, but it was absolutely worth it! I’m sure I will be sharing more pictures from my trip to China here but if you would like to see the rest of them they can all be found on China set on Flickr, enjoy!
