I tend to share a lot of links on twitter, links that I believe are valuable and informative.  However, I’ve been wanting to know how many of my twitter followers are actually clicking on the links that I’m sharing.  Well now with Tweetburner I can get the stats I need.  Now keep in mind that if I share a link that points to my blog I can just look at the Google Analytics stats to see how many referrers I had, but tweetburner is mainly good for links that DON’T go to my blog (by the way this also works for friendfeed).

Here is what the tweetburner stats page looks like and if you’re using twhirl you can select “twurl” under services (when you shorten a link) and just keep using that same platform to send out links, then just check the stats with tweetburner.

Now to be perfectly honest I probably won’t use tweetburner that much. Why?  Well, if I send out a link and only one person clicks on it and says they found value from it, then I’m satisfied. Now that being said, tweetburner is a neat tool to use and I’m sure I will occasionally check on a few stats, but I’m not going to be monitoring it every time I send out a link, perhaps I will look for monthly trends.

What do you think of tweetburner?  How will you use it?

thanks for reading
