Lately, there have been some discussions focusing on getting people to work harder and more hours. This has been a very interesting topic and it got me thinking. In this episode of the Future in 5, I ask the question “Are we working too hard or not hard enough?” I don’t want to encourage people to work harder and I don’t want to encourage people to work less. What I do think is that it is important for us to realize that we are in a world today where we have a choice. As an individual you need to prioritize and determine what you care about and what you value. Like I have said many times, we are in a world where we are always connected. If you want, you could work 100 hours a week. Nobody is stopping you. But, should you be doing that? I share my perspective on this subject taking into consideration various aspects including current statistics on employees and automation, and placing it in context of whether you have a full-time job or are an independent, and what your personal goals may be. Do you think most people are working too hard or do you think most people are not working hard enough? Tune in and give me your comments.
