I’ve been talking about Chess Media Group a little bit over the past few weeks and some of you may have noticed that CMG is now included in my Linkedin and Twitter bio. Well, I wanted to take this opportunity to finally and officially announce the launch of Chess Media Group! Chess Media Group is a social business consultancy that was created to help companies understand the ROI and impact from their marketing investments. We look at ourselves as a business consultancy that understands the social media space. We work with clients on developing social business strategies that are clearly tied back to measurable business objects. I won’t get into the details here but I will say that we are focusing on 4 key areas in the social business space (for now):
- Strategic consulting and planning
- Accountability consulting
- Reputation Management and Monitoring
- Education and training
I formed Chess Media Group with Connie Chan (my previous partner at another consultancy) over a month ago and so far things have been great. We’ve hired our first associate which many of you may know, Sonny Gill and we’ve also recruited a stats/data/analytics wiz (who is going to remain anonymous at this point). In addition we are also working on two very exciting partnerships which we will be announcing in the coming weeks.
We still have a few small things to edit on the site and some more content to put up; but for the most part it’s done. We’ve been working on the site for over a month now but we’re finally ready to make it public to the world. The site was designed and developed by our friends over at BlueSailCreative. In fact, I’m going to have this website redesigned as well and Blue Sail is going to handle that.
It’s been pretty tough not having a website, and in fact we just received our business cards as well. I’ve had several companies that were very interested in working with us ask for a website URL or a PPT that I can send over. Well, we’re working on the PPT now but hey, at least we have our website up and running! We wanted to keep things simple yet be able to clearly showcase who we are and what we do. I think we have succeeded.
Please take a look at the website and let me know what you think. There’s a post on the Chess Media Group website introducing the company, you can leave a comment directly on there (or here).
We also created a Facebook Fan page and would love it if you became our fan!
