To educate and train or not to educate and train, this is NOT a new question but a tricky one for employers today. The historic perspective has been concerned with the cost of educating and training employees along with the tenure of those employees that companies have invested time and money in. Then what to do if they don’t invest time and money in employees and those employees then stay with the company. Everyone can agree you have to educate and train employees it is a necessity for a successful company.

The thoughts and concerns regarding how employees are trained and educated, the length of their tenure and the cost is changing. No longer do companies have to spend thousands of dollars on this or even be the catalyst. By giving employees access to tools such as Khan Academy, internal social networks and cross collaboration, companies are changing the way employees are educated and trained. It’s not necessary for companies to invest thousands of dollars and thousands of man hours preparing courses and presentations to advance their employees’ training.

All of these changes are helping ease companies concerns about employee tenure and changing the way today’s workforce is trained and educated.
