choices your company should not have to makeStarting a business or running a company is by no means and easy task and there is a lot of thought and planning that is required. There are many choices and decisions that a company must make when considering its’ health and success. Choices such as how much should we pay our employees? How should we structure our company? Or, what positions should we be hiring for? However, there are also choices that a company should not have to make, choices that begin taking away from the end users experience and choices that keep your customers from being happy.

Choices Your Company Should Not Have To Make

Should we offer a good product or good customer support?

Should we be fast or reliable?

Should we focus on comfort or ease of use?

Should we focus on quality or quantity?

Should our product be comfortable or aesthetically pleasing?

Should we focus on product or marketing?

So why are these choices your company shouldn’t have to make? Because, you should offer both. You should fast AND reliable, easy to use AND comfortable, offer a good product AND good customer service. You should not have to sacrifice one for the other because your customers want and expect both. If you begin to skim off one of those areas your customers will go with the competition, the guys that are able to meet the customers requirements.

The most important thing is to make sure that the end users, a.k.a. your customers, are happy. You may have the best product in the world, but if the customers interacting with you, your brand, or your company, aren’t happy, then your product won’t mean much.

You want your customers to refer you to their friends and you want your customers AND their friends to keep coming back for more. The best way to do this is to avoid making changes that end up taking something away from the end user.

What are some other choices you or company had to make (or don’t think a company should have to make)?
