china-map

Tomorrow at around 3pm I’m going to be departing my lovely home in San Francisco with my buddy Brian.  Our destination?  Biejing, China.  From there we go exploring!

For the next 30 days I’m going to take all of you on a journey with me throughout China, I will be posting pictures on here, facebook, and flickr of my travels.  I also have a few guest posts lined up (by the way if you want to write a guest post for me please let me know, would love to have you!) from some great folks, but if you start seeing a lot of pics from far off places, don’t be alarmed!  I’m hoping all of you will join me to take a bit of a break from the usual social media and marketing content to focus on what I hope to be an amazing China experience.  I’ll also try to put up a few videos and who knows, maybe I’ll even do a bit of live streaming via Qik.

So where are we going in China?  Glad you asked, here’s a rough itinerary we put together, in no particular order.  We gave ourselves a few extra days as buffer/travel time:

  • Hutong
  • Summer palace
  • Old summer palace
  • Temple of heaven
  • *ming tombs, lama temples, bei hai park (maybe)

Guangxi – 3 days

  • Yangshuo
  • Guilin
  • Dragon’s backbone rice terraces
  • *sanjiang

Shanghai – 3 days

So as you can see we are going to try to cover quite a lot of ground.  We even have a few extra spots we want to check out if we have time.  If you google some of the places mentioned you will see some amazing pics, but hopefully mine will be better!

I’ll get back to focusing on social media marketing and tech stuff when I get but in the meantime I really hope you enjoy my pics, if you don’t see content for a day or two, it’s probably because I don’t have wifi.

Oh and on a separate note, my first post for marketing profs went live check it out, it’s all about translating social media into the real world.
